  • Prayer Requests - Takes you to the Prayer Request Forum, where you can enter a request or view other users' requests. You can click on any user's picture to got to their page to send them a message.

  • View - Takes you to your personal page. Here you can have widgets, friends, and comments. This is also what other members will see when they click on your picture, and where they can contact you.

  • Help - Takes you here. This is where you can find answers to how the site works and what you can do here.
  • Logout - Takes you to the site's main page and logs you out. It is always best to log out when you are finished (especially if you are on a public computer) to keep other users on your computer from having access to your site. If you forget, you will be logged out when you close all your internet browser windows.

Page Appearance

On your page, you will see two columns. In the first, you have your Personal Information, Contact Box, and Widgets. In the second, you will see your Friends and Comments. All these can be set from your Edit page.

Your Edit page allows you to make all possible changes to your personal page. At the top of the page, you will see an EzAdd button, and a box to change the text color on your page. These are the most basic tools. When you click EzAdd, you will be taken to a page where you can select from sample backgrounds, widgets, and graphics for your page. You can add any item to your page by clicking the button under the item. You can then go back to your Edit page and change the font color so that all your text shows up again whatever background you chose. Now, you can click View to see the changes.

On the edit page in the Appearance Box, you can upload an image from your computer for your profile picture. This should be a small picture, and if possible a portrait (upright) not landscape (sideways). You can also enter the web address of any online picture to use for your background in the Appearance Box.

Finally, in the Personal Info Box on the Edit page, you can enter a Tag Line to appear above your picture telling about yourself, your Date of Birth (only age is hown on your page) and your location.

Widgets & Graphics

Widgets are a fairly new, and fun way to add personality to your page. Maybe you would like to have a Daily Bible Verses box on your page, Daily Christian Images, or add a Gospel Singer's video. Maybe even a game, calculator, or something else. You can even paste a Myspace Graphic in the Widgets. Simply search for a site with the widget or graphic you want, copy the code, and paste it in the box on your Edit Page. You will want to give your Widget a name, so that you can easily delete it later if you want. As soon as you add the Widget, it will appear in the box at the right where you can delete it. You can also click View to see how it looks on your page.

A great place to start looking is Google Gadgets. Search and find the widget you want, find "Embed this gadget" on the bottom right of the page, Get the Code, and paste it in the box on your Edit page.

Want to put a YouTube video on your site? Maybe a sermon or gospel video? Find the video you want on YouTube. Then, under "Embed", you will find the code. Paste this in the Widget box on the Edit page to add it to your page.

Finding and Adding Widget or Graphics code a little more complicated that you want to get into? No problem. I have found some good Widgets and Graphics, and will continue to add more. You only need to go to your Edit page, Click EzAdd, and select the ones you want.

Friends

Friends are probably the most important aspect of any social site, and also the easiest. You can go to any members page and click Add Friend under their picture. They will be send a request, asking them to Accept or Deny you as a friend. If they accept, they will be added to your Friends list, and you to theirs. Then, you will each be able to place comments on each other's pages. You will also be able to get to their page quickly by clicking on their picture in your Friends list.

You can edit your friends list in the Edit Comments, Friends, & Password Box on the Edit page.

Comments

Comments are a great way to send a message to a friend, when you don't mind other people seeing the message. There are thousands of sites that specialize in Myspace Comments, or Myspace Graphics, and even Christian Myspace Graphics. You can use the code from any of the sites in His-Friend's Comments. Simply go to your friend's page, and click Add Comment over their Comments box. Another page will open, and you will be able to paste in the code or type a message. After you click Submit, you will get a chance to preview the message and make changes before Confirming.

You can edit your comments in the Edit Comments, Friends, & Password Box on the Edit page. Back To Top

Messaging

Messaging is a basic, but important, feature. They allow you to send a comment or graphic to any user, and only they will be able to see it. On any user's page, you can click Send Message, and you will be taken to a form where you can enter a subject and message. You may also paste code for images or graphics in this box. You can get these from any site that offers Myspace comments or graphics. Once you click submit, you will get to preview your image. You must click Confirm before the message is actually sent.

You can view your messages by clicking Messages on the main menu. Here, you will see any messages sent to you, as well as any friend requests. You can ready your message, and then delete or reply to it.

Privacy

Privacy is an important aspect of a personal site to many people. This is very simple and secure on His-Friends. On your Edit page, at the bottom of the page, you will find two buttons.

If you click Make Profile Private, then only users on your Friends list will be able to view your site. No nonmembers or users not on your friends list can see your site. After you click the button, it changes to say Make Profile Public. Click it again, and your profile is no longer private.

Like the profile privacy, if you only want to receive messages from Friends, you can click Make Messaging Private.
